Song: Creek Mary's Blood by Nightwish

what a surprise... inspired by nightwish XDD

The Inspiration

this one took me so much too finish, not cause it was hard, the planing of this draw was very spontaneous i had nothing in mind cause of the theme...

at first i played the song and started sketching the same as i had in mind...

i tried to express exactly what the instruments and melodies told me...

in the very beginning, the i saw a very warms colors, browns red, so i sketched that... i hear water and nature, that could be nice with some bright colors, but i decided red and warm theme cause of the BLOOD.

with the poem in an Indian languaje and the percussion and floute was very hard to not draw something related to the lyrics, but wanted to focus more on the melody and sounds, more than the lyrics, but was inevitable to put some references of native americans, like the bird mask, feathers and some accesories...

i said that i also hear nature in the song, so i decided to put little waterfalls in the mountains back, and a little creek behind her, so i can call her CREEK MARY! XD

after the middle of the song, was inevitable to think in a light rising, so decided to play with a dramatic lighting...

after that, i finish in my mind what i wanted and start painting seriously... severals days took me to form the final idea, i listened the song many times with closed eyes!..
in the end i liked how it ends!.

That song is BEAST <3 Awesome art! Not what I expected would come out of the song but it's really good! Though she doesn't exactly look native american because of her hair and eyes, but still good

I don't quite know, but probably something in a more deciduous landscape... The Desert makes me think of other tribes than Muskogee.
